Ian and Chip shoved off Saturday morning in Fort de Soto, near Tampa. As you can see on their spot checker link, they were entering Placida Harbor at 5:30pm today. Excellent progress, especially considering the persistent headwind they have been fighting for most of the way so far. .
For anyone interested, Everglades Challenge details can be found on their website. Keep up with the guys through spot live, send them some good vibrations and check back here for updates.

The Countdown Begins
With only six weeks left before the Everglades Challenge is underway, the Stand up for Miami team has kicked into intensive training mode. Sunrise paddles on the bay, a healthy diet and a comprehensive training regiment have us well on our way to winning the 280-mile challenge, meanwhile raising some much needed funds for inner city environmental education charities. Look forward to more info on our send-off fundraiser party at North Beach's Sandbar soon.
